The 5th biennial Innovative Foods Conference will address and discuss the opportunities for ‘higher valued’ food products across the supply chain for a competitive future.
CSIRO presents the Innovative Foods Conference in partnership with the Victorian Government with support from The University of Melbourne. A specialised program explores the emerging science and technologies underpinning the creation of innovative higher valued agriculture products across the food supply chain. Health and nutrition, safety, quality and functionality will be featured as well as aspects of equipment, global market opportunities and associated commercialisation case studies.
Opportunities for convenient or novel products and advances from the farm to the market place utilising novel produce and technologies will be presented through sessions and overarching themes based within food categories including:
- Horticulture
- Dairy
- Muscle foods
- Grains
- Grapes and wine
Agrifood industry business and marketing leaders, researchers, policy makers, equipment manufacturers, suppliers and allied industries can look forward to a dynamic information exchange and the latest research, technologies, produce and market development delivered by world leading experts.
Higher valued opportunities for the supply chain through Novel Produce and Technologies!
This year's Innovative Foods Conference will feature the latest international developments and applications in high value adding of products across the supply chain in the following areas:
- novel on-farm practises and produce
- novel and advanced processing technologies to provide convenience and new products
- impacts on nutrition, health and well being
- sustainable food processing
The call for poster abstracts will be open from 1st February 2010 to 31st May 2010. Entries received before 31st of March 2010 will be eligible for the travel grant competition. Up to 20 posters will be selected for short oral presentations.
The conference and venue offer an excellent opportunity for suppliers to participate as a sponsor and /or a trade exhibitor.
